Shared Sunset Cruise in Istanbul

Join a small, convivial group casting off as the light drops over the strait — two hours past the palaces and under the bridges, with a live guide, drinks and snacks. From €30 per person midweek.

How much is the shared sunset cruise, and what does it include?

The shared Bosphorus sunset cruise with Vesper is €34 per person without wine and €40 with a wine package, dropping to €30 and €35 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Both are the same two-hour golden-hour sail; only the wine differs. The cruise boards at Karaköy ferry pier from 18:30 and leaves at 19:00, running past Dolmabahçe Palace, Ortaköy and the first Bosphorus Bridge to the Rumeli Hisarı turnaround. A live English-speaking guide narrates the landmarks, and hot and cold drinks plus a snack platter come aboard. We can also pick you up from other Istanbul piers — Kadıköy, Balat or Karaköy — on request, and we time the sail to the real sunset so the light is never left to chance. Vesper has been TÜRSAB-licensed (#14316) since 2001 and hosted 50,000+ guests. Book on WhatsApp.

How much is the shared sunset cruise?

The shared Vesper sunset cruise is €34 per person without wine, dropping to €30 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Prefer to raise a glass at golden hour? The with-wine package is €40, or €35 on those same weekdays. Both are the full two-hour sail with a live guide, drinks and snacks — the only difference is the wine. There is no online checkout; you confirm your price and spot on WhatsApp before you board.

What time does it board, and where?

The shared sail boards at Karaköy ferry pier from 18:30 and casts off at 19:00 for about two hours, turning back at blue hour. We shift the time with the season so you are always on the water for the real sunset — earlier in winter, later in midsummer. Prefer a pier closer to you? We can pick you up from other Istanbul jetties — Kadıköy, Balat or Karaköy — on request; just tell us which suits you when you book.

What's included on the two-hour sail?

Every shared departure includes the full route past Dolmabahçe Palace, Ortaköy and the first Bosphorus Bridge to the Rumeli Hisarı turnaround, with a live English-speaking guide narrating the landmarks. Hot drinks (tea, Turkish coffee), cold drinks and a snack platter come aboard. Add the wine package, a birthday cake, a photographer or special-occasion touches on request — just tell us what you are planning when you message.

When is the best time to go?

Aim to arrive about 30 minutes before the 19:00 departure so you are settled as the boat leaves. Because we time the sail to the real sunset, the experience peaks differently through the year — long, warm golden hours in spring and early autumn, with the calmest decks, and crisper, earlier light in winter. Midsummer gives the latest, lingering evenings on the strait.

Shared sail vs private yacht — which to pick?

The shared cruise is the easiest, lowest-cost way to catch the sunset — you join a scheduled sail from €30 per person. If you would rather have the deck to yourselves, a private sunset yacht (from €200) gives your group the whole boat. Choose private for a sunset proposal or an intimate occasion; choose shared if you simply want two beautiful hours on the water.
